Hi there,

I recently made a thread asking about a knocking sound coming from the n/s/f area of my cinq.. i have checked gearbox mount, top mounts and suspension arms and it doesnt appear to be any of these, I have recently discovered a leak from the passenger side driveshaft, see pictures below;

EDIT: When jacked up, clean oil drips from this area quite heavily.

I am unsure whether or not it is infact the gearbox mount, should this be visibly worn or does it have to be removed to check wear? Here is a photo of its current condition..

ok mate, so the engine mount looks knackered to you? I am going to book the car in to have the oil seal changed, just going to check the oil level in the 'box

Ah is that so, does anyone have a pic of what the gearbox mount *should* look like? I can't geet my head around whats causing the knocking!

Im not sure about the clamp mate there only seems to be one on the side of the gaitor that faces the wheel, is there meant to be a larger one on the gearbox side?

I'm pretty confident I could change the gaitor, how difficult is it? Hopefully some sort of brilliant guide on here!! ;)

Cheers
