Grrr posted once and pooter crashed ! Grrr.

Ok....hopefully going to see a Cinq this week to (maybe) replace Freddy!

It's a '95 but not sure of the model. I do know it's NOT a Sporting and it looks completely boggo standard.

Just short of 60k on the clock with 12 months ticket and 6 months tax.

Bodywork looks straight and solid.

That's about all I know for now but just wanted a rough idea of price before I go and look. Don't wanna offer too much/little !

Fankoo muchly for any help.:D

i think the cinq had 4 levels off trim, the s, sx, soliel and sporting, it really depends on which model uare going to view to determine price

Dealer Retail
£ 700
Private Good
£ 540
Private Poor
£ 255
Part Exchange
£ 420

they are the prices for a 1996 Cinq SX from parkers. so if your looking at an S, knock some off!

Id agree with arc actually... They seem to be rapidly depreciating atm

Guy wants £500+ for it. Just had a phone call from him but forgot to ask
what model it is - doh !! It's the 900cc but don't suppose that helps much.

Anyway, Fred's got his MOT tomorrow and I'm off to visit the Cinq tomorrow
night. If Fred fails miserably then I'll probably offer the guy some dosh for
the Cinq tomorrow. If Fred passes (which he won't) then I'll still have a look
and see what I think. Even if Fred only fails on mechanical stuff this time
(which I can easily sort) then I don't think he'll last much longer body-wise.

Will keep you all posted tomorrow. Cheers for the replies so far ! :D

Going to see the Cinq this evening (regardless of how Fred's MOT goes
today).

What things should I be looking out for ? New to all this Fiat stuff.
I could tell you everything to look for when viewing a mini but not a
Fiat !!!

Apart from the obvious rot etc, which places are more prone than others?

Hey, i am selling my cinq SX 900cc, 60,500k miles just had new breaks and service 8 months m.o.t and 3 month tax looking for around £450

Just phoned my mate and they've not MOT'd him yet as the garage has flooded with all the rain !! He's going to have a look round him tonight before he brings him home to see what he thinks. Won't be properly MOT'd til later this week now.

Only want to know if he's gonna fail on bodywork cos mechanically he's not bad and we can sort that anyway. If needs lots of welding, I've already got a queue of minis that need welding :-/

Cinqs don't rot mate, if you see any prevalent rust then it's badly repaired accident damage.

You maybe find soime bubbling around the side repeaters and maybe on the front wheel arches but only if the inner wing has been taken out a few times coss the paint chips on refitting.

Yep they do - Fiat didn't galvanize all the panels. Check in the boot and the rear under the car - the box sections above the axle and suspension spring mounts can suffer.
