i need to mount a 1.4 16v stilo engine to my dads engine stand , i have tried threaded rod but does not seem to work so i was hoping that some1 here may know what size the bolts are or the tread size ect so i can get some asp.

!2 x 1.25, I think: the ideal ones are the ones from the rear suspension arms of the Centos, but maybe Punto ones are the same.

You may need to shorted the horns on the stand a little.

i used the gearbox to engine bolts to hold my 1242 engine on the stand, had to shorten the horns on the stand though as fingers has said.

Yes, that's what I ended up doing. Silly old git that I am, I'd left the perfect bolts in the scrappy the week before!:bang:
