andy

if it aint broke dont touch it

What size is that?
1242cc??

Mechannically, I think thats the same block as the '60, so yes it would....but thats MPi (so it might not), and the head'll be bigger, so yu'll need new ECU, wiring loom, fuel injectors.

If im being honest, the 1242cc SPi looks as though it swamps the engine bay to me! Wouldnt much like the idea of two camshafts and thea ssociated ECU gubbiniere!

boot delock soon, Induction in development!

Could be a 1242 16v and a 1581 8v as Tom mentioned 16v means MPI and that's difficult and expensive and the 1581 will be huge so not without grinder, plate steel, welder........ you get the picture.

As a special treat for Tom this is what two camshafts etc in the Cinq looks like

This is an expensive Sei version

Well I'd like to say the 16v in the Imola Cinq was mine but it's all the great handy work of Andy Duff from the Cinqs&Seis list.

The 16v on throtle bodies is another load of handy (assisted) work also from a guy called Andy (Ellsom this time)

1st one is a journey into the unknown as the second has non Fiat management and would appear easier.

Mr Duff is likely to have started a new job so doubt if the 16v has moved much but last I heard he was having the engine out again to re-check the loom over 1 final time before completion, sounds sooky but he's a brainy bugger when it comes to this stuff so he's a possible source of help for you Tom, not that the help here isn't enough though.

Cheers

Liam

Yeah, Ive seen his name fleeting about on the Yahoo C+S list

I have no intention to slap a 16v in, i'll be more than happy with my 8v for the while!!:DOnce it moves[:(!]
