of a little yellow sei sporting . bought it yesterday after selling my beloved juice guzzling 1.8 bravo !! dont know very much about cars but i have had 2 fiats in the past and both really reliable ( ulysse was a real dream ) . my little sei has full service history , red and blue key , passed mot yesterday, few little stone chips cosmetically and thats about it . they have put in a fancy cd player, but it sticks out about 3 inches from the dash . bought this purely for work as im a community staff nurse and thought that it would be great on the petrol !! any tips or things to watch out for on my little sei. glad some one else mentioned abut the fan as i noticed that, kicking in whilst just sitting there engine running .however damn battery ws flat , the guy said the car had been standing for a while since he took it as part ex, had to jump start t to get to mot station , it started fine after that and then died again !!! am i going to need a new battery ? and are they expensive? the guy was going to charge battery and im picking it up tomorrow . fingers crossed !!

If it doesn't start without jumping when you pick it up, insist on a new battery. If you have to get one, do shop around as prices (and excuses for the prices!) vary a lot ("the Chinese are buying all the lead" is a popular one). Target price less than £40.

The CD player is probably sticking out because the leads or a connector is jamming between the case and the back of the recess: usually a bit of broggling around will sort it.
