Hey everyone First ever MOT in my driving experience is 2morra.. and guess what i got a flat tyre today and then put the spare on ... which is also flat.. so have got a new tyre and hidden my spare

also Not sure if it will pass the the O/S rear tyre is probs not legal...
might also fail on emissions apart from that i think it should be all good !

MOT is at 11:30 so will let you know as soon as i can after that

It's only costing £25 but if it fails a call to rallycinq may be in order

The spare tyre isn't part of the MOT test, so no probs with that.
All four other tyres need to be ok though.
Sounds like you actually need five new tyres...

I had mine last week and it wasnt pretty! cost me 240 quid for random bits that needed doing. The mechanic also did some small bits for free for me and pointed out that i may soon need a new tire and i had foggy oil in my shocks absorbers. :bang:

I'll spoke to him on the phone,

From my memory, he has failed on

petrol tank
brake pipes,
imbalance front brake
front brake pad not probably fitted
and some other stuff with bulbs and front washer jet.

Doesn't seem too bad at all , apart from brake pipes, i am scared of them !!!

Yeh as above ... car is also listed as dangerous becuase of the fuel tank and brakes. Erm a list of failed items is below: (ps this is off the top of my head)
001 Front brakes imbalanced (35%) **DANGEROUS**
002 (both) Headlamps insecure
003 Washer jets fail to provide enough water liquid (My fault i did all liquids except this one so it was empty)
004 Front offside inner brake bad ( incorectly fitted) has restricted movemnt ( FIXED) ( also wondered if this will affect the brake percentages)
005 Front brake pipes ( to flexis) Excessively corroded
006 Rear nearside (when handbrake on) Binding ( NOT SURE WHAT THIS DOES )
007 Exhaust systems has major Leak of exhaust gasses
008 Lambda reading failed after second fast idle

010 Fuel Tank Leaking **DANGEROUS**

Not sure of the other 3 points but will amend this when i go home and find my 4 pages ! AHA i remember 2 more.

Any advice would be welcome. Got a new injector coming from ming to see if that makes my stoopid injector light go off..

also new fuel tank coming soon ..
Bashed around with the brakes and replaced the front pad so point 4 is fixed.

You got a sporting don't you ??? Else i'll got a lambder sensor

Try some redex, might help with the lambda reading.

no i got a normal ming

The exhaust leak will cock up the emissions/lambda readings so fix that before replacing the lamdba sensor.

Im not sure where the exhaust leak is tho :S I have checked and cannot feel no leaks with my hand when the engine is running or even at high revs

ask them, or stick a bit of hose pipe in your ear, start at the manifold and work along. You should hear a leak easily.
