... has a couple of niggling little issues that i need to get sorted.
I've owned a Cinq before, but that was 4 years ago when i first joined this forum, now i'm back in Cinq ownership!! I'm led to believe that it's a Brickfoot built 1242? Brickfoot, can you shed some light on that please matey?
Anyhoo...
First off, she idles a tad too high, even when warm, I came to the conclusion that this might be due to the fact one of the bolts was missing (snapped) from the air intake (technical name i have no clue - plastic bit) and an air leak there would cause the idle to be a tad high, so i've stuck a silicone seal around it... I'll find out the outcome of that in the morning when its set and isn't raining, snowing or sleeting!
Secondly, one that i'm totally unsure about, i occasionally get flat spots in no specific place in the rev range, but to the point occasionally, that it judders and feels like its going to cut out? These are only brief spells, and usually resume normal service soon after the spluttering fit.
As far as I can think, so far, they're the only issues i've come across.
Tomorrow, weather allowing, i'll be stripping and checking everything out in a bit more detail, make sure everything is all Ok!
It's nice to be back in Cinq ownership!
Any help or advice would be much appreciated,
Cheers,
Oggy
