Technical Speedo, Brake Lights & Reverse Lights Not Working

hey I'm a newbie, but i've just brought a 51 sei 1.1 sx i stalled it the other day, when i turned it over again it seemed fine but the speedo, has stopped working the display is displaying the same mileage for the last 20 miles and i'm probably speeding everywhere cos it doesn't move, and neither the brake lights or reversing lights work now

WHAT HAVE I DONE? PLEASE HELP?

1st I wouldn't drive it as your breaking half the rules of the road, and 2nd check to see if a fuse has blown.

If not then I think it might need to go to the garage. Do any of your rear lights work?

sounds silly but it happened to mine i just moved the casing slighty and tapped it back in to place and it was fine?

The simple things are earth points, the rear lights may have a single common earth, or an earth on each side, fix it (or them) they all work again.

You may have burnt a fuse as well, the fuse box on RHD vehicles in under the steering wheel.

One can see a burnt fuse the wire will be broken, walk to factor and get an identical one. My little car has a plastic pot full of fuses and light bulbs...

Be careful & methodocial dont swap things unless they are identical and only remove one thing at a time. Otherwise you will create more problems than you fix.
