hi all I have just purchased a 2002 seicento sporting and have a fuel guage problem. I have checked the threads on here and mine is different to those My problem is went to fill up today and when i did the guage said a quarter full so went to put petrol in The petrol pump kept on clicking and also had to put a little bit in and wait for that to go down I am now guessing the tank was probs full The fuel gauge still says quarter full so lifted the inspection plate under the rear seat to get to the sender unit and took of the plug and bridged the 2 terminals to send the gauge up but only went a quarter full So is this a sticky full guage and would another fuel guage be the answer Also if i did replace it how easy is it to get to it do i have to take the steering wheel off I like the car as it is so nippy its just the guage is already getting on my nerves HELP PLEASE !!!! :bang:

the fuel guage has always been rubbish on the cento anyway. Reset the trip and refill when you feel it is right, i am assuming the guage works when there is 'allegedly' 1/4 tank left?

there is a faq/guide/sticky and numerous threads on how to remove the instrument cluster in order to get access to the internals
