hi,

well when im going down the road occasionally (getting more frequant now) the brakes begin to bind on thier own, a extreemly loud squeek begins and such.

when i quickly jab the brakes it stops for a while.

now i kno its the brakes because when i get out the wheel is hot, and i mean HOT. i ahve burned myself on the alloy haha.

now it has done this before then suddenly stopped.

its had new pads a month or so back and all looks fine. could it be simply abit of rust obstructing pad movement or is it something else?

yes this could be that but if its getting that hot it sounds like the caliper piston is siezed take the caliper off and check to see if the piston slides back in freely, ive even seen brake pipes cause this! a fured up barke pipe can cause a blockage that can make brakes bind but not as bad as that. check the caliper.hope that helps :)

hi wil check pipes tomorro, am in work in the car so cant take it all apart but i THINK its doing it on both wheels. but ive only ever checked drivers side for heat. as its there when i get out! :p.

also like i said its happened in the past, but when i changed the pads the piston moved freeley then, so its probably not that. as it had done it before the change too. just not for a while

well next time it does it feel for the car pulling to one side that would be an indication to it being one side more than the other, and well just a case of (as said) cleaning pad slides and checking pipes etc, check the pistons again when looking.
