I am a new sei sporting owner and drove the car today noticed clunking from rear. Suspension seems fine and has just passed an MOT yesterday so could be something else. Also the gear changes are a bit on the stiff side. Is this normal or does it point to a dodgy clutch or gear box? Help would be appreciated. Thanks:)

helo my siecento sporting was doin the same thing they have told me i need 2 new front shockers and as for the gears i need a new rear gear box mount because it had came away from the rubbers you should take it to your local garage and get it checked over for free

I got a cinq sporting a few weeks ago.. was hard to shift, grinding into reverse, noisy, and got only 30 mpg. After total service tune up, flushed out oil, new sparks, etc... with clutch cable replaced, it was like a totally different car, now gets 46mpg and gear shifting is great... 87,000 miles and I'm the tenth owner!

Try filling the gearbox up with gearbox oil.
if my Cinquecento's geabox gets low it gets stiffer and crunches a bit

it could be something as simple as you using too thick gearbox oil..
try whack something a bit thinner in..
do you find the gear changes are alot stiffer when the engine is cold ?
