Hello First time on here !!

I am just after a bit of advice, if anyone can help.
Just bought a 98 sporting and from what i have read the clutch cables are prone to snapping and i think this one could do with doing as it feels really tight and could go at anytime !!, am i right in saying that they do need doing regularly ??.
I also need a bit of advice on when the cambelt needs changing and how much, roughly do you think it would cost to do and is it a big job ??.
And before i go what does a full service include on one of these beasties and again roughly how much do you think it would cost to get done ??
I know i have asked alot for my first time on here but hopefully somebody could give me an answer.
Thanks for reading !!

If it seels tight, the chances are that there's something up with the clutch elsewhere. Carry a spare!

But I've never had one go on me, so I'd not say that they need regular replacement.

No idea what a full service costs: pop into FIAT? Likewise cambelt. Intervals are around 40,000 miles or 4 years, whichever soonest.

Thanks for that chaps!!

I just needed some advice from what i gather the car has had a clutch about 2 years ago and it pulls o.k when you go throught the gears but like i say it just feels like the cables about to snap !.
Just a thought before i finish writing do you know if i can get the proper fiat seicento mudflaps still from fiat ??,

Nip down your local dealer and ask (y)

On a thought though there has been a thread recently with the same request re. mudflaps so perhaps they arent as available now, may get lucky on ebay or breakers/scrappies

Get a cinq haynes manual if you wish to do servicing work yourself, dont bother looking for sei one they dont exist, the cinq sporting has the same engine as yours so will be perfect for job.

Would expect to see some sort of cambelt change already occured within the service history of vehicle, if no sign of a change it would be my first priority item! I did 2 in my ownership one at 36k the other at 66k
