I know everyone posts about this so ur prolly reading this yawning and falling to sleep.

BUT!> i jus have a couple of qu's

1) How much, roughly + is there a specific price range.

2) Is the conversion worth doing if u don't want to shell out for a turbo but still want big gains in the long run (is that a proper question?)

3) Milage readings> obviously the engine you put in, will have done diff mileage to the 1108 so what do you do about that??

4) Who would fit one for me :D

Sorry i didn't bother doing a search! i just thought it would be easier to type this up.:I

1) For the engine i think you're looking at around £150 with an engine with 25k ish on it. Allow an extra £100 for new gaskets, oil, filters and you may as well fit a new timing belt while you're at it.

2) For the money, its the best mod you can do to a cento, so much more torque.

3) The dial in the car records how many miles the car has done, not the engine so you don't alter that. Just make a note of how many miles the new engine has done so if you ever do sell it, you can say it had a new engine fitted and that has done xx miles

4) Fitting.. do it yourself :p

Cinq Sporting - and yes, its broom yellow!

Yu could alter the odometer reading- it is legitimate.

But yu must say to a buyer what the mileage was before it was altered. Selling it without declaring the info is fraud!:)

95 Cinq Sporting - Rattly GrpN Catback Exhaust, Buckets and 3pt Harnesses,Sexy VW styleé dials (that look great, but dont work!! :)D)), 10" Sub and 6x9's, ETech Wing. Lots of Dirt!
1242cc Engine in car, not wired up, need new inlet manifold!!, boot delock soon, K+N still in garage!

2) - Sod the 1242, buy my 1108 Turbo and go extremely much faster - wouldn't be anymore work than dropping a 1242 in either as it's all setup etc.

Its apparently untuneable. and it needs a new ECU and full wiring loom.

Its more effort than result.

A lot of work and money to get that 150 BHP - especially when you consider he is going to Supercharge it...
And seeing as an 8v 1242 Turbo'd can put out 120 BHP+ without serious mods - puts it in perspective a bit.

Mines going in for a 1.2 16v transplant asap. Basically got given a punto 1.2 16v elx that had been crashed into the back of from a member of family and i'm having more or less the whole mechanical front end (engine, brakes, the lot) put into the front of my cinq!!!

I guess i'll have to see what happens?

Anybody got any ideas how fast its gonna be?

Jimcento;)

If your gonna do something wrong... do it right.

The only issue is the ecu (remapping) and and on spi's the injection system, not really worth it on a cinq as the money would be better spent tuning a 1242.
No such thing as an untunable engine tho, I have looked at the head castings and there is alto of room for improvement evenn without going for larger valves.
