Hi, Me again....

Sometimes my new cinq judders - sometimes quite badly and at most inconvenient times - like on a big roundabout or on a slip road joining the motorway...

I find that if i give it more throttle it makes it worse and the only thing that helps is if i dip the clutch drop down a gear and ease back on the throttle (gently)......but this doesn't happed all the time - so strange?

anyone any ideas?? does it just need a service or could it be more serious?

thanks guys!

no - no overheating or loss of coolant - do still have brown slug stuff in coolant - probably need to change all these - could the coil pack cause this?

does the Engine try to stall as you slow down or stop ?

i had a problem like this on a ford i had a look at it & in the end it was the lambda sensor at fault.

my sporting does this sometimes aswell but yes sometimes the injection light comes on when the engine is started. anything to fix it or is something just loose?

oli

Just dorve to work - when I started the car the ecu went out before i started the engine??

Juddering seemed worse this morning - wondering if it could be the air hose?? had a similar prob with an old calibra.....where is this located on the cinq?

yes it does try to stall - or it did try to this morning!

mine only seems to judder above 65mph so could it just be a wheel balance thing?

no not too bad - just completed 100 miles on just under 1/4 tank - when it is idling the revs go down quick as if it almost stalls then picks up again - i am convinced this is relatind to the juddering....could it be the lambda sensor if there is not ecu light remaining on??

Even if the ecu light is not on, it could still be a problem with the lambda sensor. i would advise you to clean the sensors and see if that fixes the problem

you should also check the plug connections and make sure they're sound.

If the lambda sensor is at fault the engine may experience problems caused by an overly rich fuel condition, poor idle, or hesitation during acceleration. It may also be hard to start on a cold morning.
