hello people, i have just joined the forum and havent been welcomed yet :(

but am wanting to know how easy it is to get a DIY car alarm to pulse the central locking when armed / disarmed? :)

do i just attach it to the negative on the lock wire? cos thats what cliffords do. thanks...

Let me welcome you then before the usual suspects pop up (Dave, brickfoot etc)

Dunno the answer exactly, your alarm (instructions!) should tell you how to do this but if not then under the little shelf below the passenger side dash is a yellow relay that I believe controls the central locking and there is a separate wire with connector coloured black, this could what your looking for, try and see but check the fuse rating for the one taht covers it beforehand and have some ready.

i will have a look in the morning if no-one else beats me to it, see if i can see how my alarm wires into it :)

I did my own locking on my car and I had to cut wires all over the place to get it to work properly for some reason, and now it's buggered - my advice for it is that you don't do it yourself - either get someone who knows what theyre doing, or a pro to do it otherwise your car might end up the same way as mine - unlockable!!

ta GhostWKD and everybody you have pm custardboy :)
