Was prepping my Cinq for its MOT, and whilst changing a bulb in the NS headlight the reflector kind of detached itself from the inside of the headlight and is flopping about. So I bought a second hand headlight from Fleabay, fitted it, all was fine (the reflector wasn't loose) but the during the MOT the tester said that the headlight beam was all out of alignment. Checked the headlight bulb and guess what...

...the damn reflector in the second headlight had come loose at the bottom as well :bang:

Having a closer look I can see two plastic lugs that fit into square holes at the bottom corners of the reflector. I can get the reflector to position back onto the plastic lugs but it won't hold.

Is this a common Cinq problem and is there are way of re-securing the reflector inside the headlight unit?

It's a common problem on Cinq and Sei. No sure solution, but you could try stripping it all out and either using epoxy to build up the lugs or something like sikaflex/tiger seal to hold them in place. If you have a go, photos and a HowTo please! You can seal the glass back to the reflector with el cheapo bathroom silicon.

The trick is to get the new headlamp adjusted before the MOT.

lol i stuffed a flat coke can in the back of my head light to keep it straight LOL! cuz it faild on the first time (MOT) and the 2nd time i did that and he did not check it lol! more concered about the swing arms and the hole in the body work lol!!!
