Hi all, on my seicento the rear wheel on the drivers side is stiff, it is pulling the car back and taking lots of fuel. the passenger side wheel is perfect but the drivers side is the problem. had the drum off and greased the bearing and sanded brakes and just spent £80 having the flexi brake pipes changed. but the drum is still getting really hot on the wheel and when jacked it up the wheel still stiff?

any ideas????

cheers :)

well i went to fiat to ask for linkages because i was going to change them and they didnt know what i was on about :S lol

they said its like a lever that goes into the brake system.

anyways im not too good wiv fiats it ma first one so how do i do what i need to do????

lol cheers m8

is that the part bhind the drum at the top which has a spring on it?.... if so i have already greased that!

with the drum off, get a mate to gently pull the handbrake on and make sure the linkage moves the two shoes apart. Make sure they go back once the handbrake is released.

If all working correctly, adjust the shoes, its a friction adjuster, so that they just touch the drum when you put the drum back on. The wear on the braking surface should then leave enough clearance.

Cheers
