I need to remove my alternator on my cinq sporting(to get it reconditioned) and was looking through haynes manual. Doesn't look too difficult, but what would be the best place to support the right -hand side of the engine? It says to jack-up the r.hand side in order to loosen the engine mount and remove the alternator but the only obvious place is the sump...help appreciated

Put a block of wood on your jack and place it under the gearbox and go gently.
