Anyone know where i can get an Abarth front grill for my Sei Sport? Ive seen one or 2 on the net, it slips in just under the number plate, kinda mesh with white Abarth lettering(?)

Many thanks
Mikey

Stencil of 'ABARTH' and white spray paint. That is all fiat appear to have done. Job done

how do you go about finding the stencil/how do you do it? what mesh do you use? how do you fit it?????

Make your own stencil, just best getting the mesh from an MPI in the scrappers - all it is is the radiator grille anyway not special mesh

ive seen a red sei round where i live with that on, looked like a proper decent job not DIY...but he could of just made a really good job of it..
print off abarth and then cut it out of card (y)

cheers guys.

Too confirm then, the Mk II Seicento Sportings have a mesh grill as standard below the number plate? Is this right?

thanks

Yes they do but if I were you I would get down to your local B&Q and get a sheet of galvanized mesh and use that rather than mess about at the scrapyard with a used one from an MPI Sei (they do 500 x 250mm sheets and they're only a few quid (y))
The original Fiat mesh is very thin and weedy anyway and although I don't have the 'Abarth' on mine, I still got some mesh from B&Q, sprayed it matt black and fitted that, it's much stronger.

OOps! Meant to say, i have a Mk1 (SPI), can i alter a mesh to suit my model? I think it would look good and would like to do it.

cheers
M

Well that changes everything! Assumed you was an MPI owner.

The abarth lettering on the grille/mesh only came on MPI abarths i would just buy an MPI bumper and then stencil it on :)

Sorry mate. Im thought the little gap below the number plate on the SPI would fit a small mesh grill type thing (even a hand made one)
May just leave it !
Thanks anyway.
M:(

thanks indeed for that little tip there mate :worship:

But they seem awful large in size and a bit pricey for what i need. As stated above, i think the best solution is B&Q, buy the smallest bit required, spray it black and then the Abarth logo stencilled on top in white, or whatever colour....

Looking for something unique to put in place of my mesh any ideas?
