Just got my lockwood yellow dial kit from work. Really good and simple kit. Two things though you have too prepare yourself for the fact that you have too hack your old dials off with a stanley knife ie they can't be put back and you need some patience and steady hands. Took the dials out replaced them and put it all back in the car in half an hour but it is very fiddley.
Well worth the time and effort thought looks ace and changes the whole apperence of the dash

hmm...pulling off means yu can use the faces again if needs be....but it also means recalibration! Which is a TPITA!:)

I thought about taking the needles off but prefered the idea of cutting my old dials off.

whatever you do dont take the needles off! there a pain in the A**e to recalibrate. the rev counter is not so bad as long as your car doesnt idle high or low it should be about 900 revs at idle. but as for fuel and temp. fuel you need to remember how much the needle was showing before you took it off and temp you need to run the car too running temp 90oC and calibrate it this way. i did it once with some acetate dials and never again!!! the lockwoods are a tad expensive for what you get but a hell of a lot cheaper than a new clock set:D

Yeah it is a PITA, but Coloured dials look schveet. The Stanford massive can confirm that mine are damn pretty if a bit unfunctional in parts.

Oh. Good way to calibrate the fuel guage is to fill the car up!

Has anyone got any pics of their dials? I was thinking about getting some.. Is the dial face itself white, or black like the original. What part is yellow / (whatever colour u choose)? The text (and when it lights up)?

Thanks
