this is meant to allow air into the tank i am thinking, as mine you can blow through and suck through, can anyone say if this is right or wrong as have a smell coming from the breather hose that started a little while back and is starting to enoy me slightly

float? as in inside the valve or the tank if the tank what float are we on about

The float inside the blue breather. When the tank is full the float stops the valve working.

Don't go and fill the tank, take the valve out and turn it downside up.

cool just to make sure were on about the same thing i am on about the half blue and half white breather that is behind the plastic cover in the wheel arch by the filler neck, cheers

Ah, I am on about the breather in the top of the tank, which is blue, not something in the wheel arch, sorry.

Nope, charcoal cannister is up front, not by the filler neck.

i was thinking sei and front wheel arch? It wasn't very clear to me after my 3 hour drive home, the filler neck would have given it away if i read properly lol, so I'll be quiet
