my car is the best and mu plan is to restore it to the way it looked when it was first sold. I am going to work hard on it and change it back to its former glory. I have one question for you though how do i hide the speaker cables in the boot so that they can be threaded up to the boot speakers on the shelf on the back without looking a mess

i think the best way of doing this is..

look where the seatbelts come out, and try to find a way of getting the wires to run in that gap. Not very well explained, but if you look hopefully you'll see what i mean. Mine aren't in there, but when was putting some power wires in i noticed that there were two rubber grommits under the rear seats. They may lead across into that gap.. but i doubt it (they were above the rear axle, so i guess they come out on the outside of the car. But if you look around there must be some other places the wires can be fed thru.

of course, you could just re-trim the boot with some felt/carpet and that'd hide it all

Cinq Sporting - and yes, its broom yellow!

Gaffer tape. I taped the Wires down in my old one using electrical insulation tape and fed them along close to the side of wheelarch.

As quality of presentation is paramount to DJ_Bucho and I, we decided there were a few things to consider in order to properly install a rear speaker setup. They were:
1) make it neat
2) make it look good
3) make it secure
4) make it look good
5) make it removeable
(plus it needed to look good)

We were very careful to route the cables from the head unit invisibly, and they enter the rear hatch area to the left of the rear seat backrest. The cables terminate in a 4-way professional quality Microphone socket, which can be seen above attached to the rear seatback retaining clip return spring. The cables to the rear speakers have been encased in heatshrink, fixed to the stealth shelf with steel staples, and looped round to terminate in a matching Microphone plug. This means the arrangement is neat, unobtrusive and very much out of the way. It takes time, but it's worth it.
