from reading other posts(ive not done it)you only need to fabricate a manifold to downpipe spacer, this allows you to use standard exausts, and trim a few plastic bits and everything else seems to drop in.petes your man for proper info though.maybe he has the specs for the spacer as well

is a 10mm spacer as the 1242 sits a tiny bit higher i think

Dan,

To do the job right, use a new 3 piece clutch (Cinq or Punto 60, they're the same), new cam belt (Punto one) and Thermostat (from either).

You need to either have the exhaust front pipe cut and extended if you know a friendly plater, or fit a spacer in the exhaust joint between manifold and front pipe. To have a spacer made, use a gasket as a template - 15mm thick is about ideal, but watch for clearance between lambda sensor and engine - it gets tight when you space it down.

Use the Cinq oil pressure switch and crank sensor, also chop off the double skinned bit on the top of the cam belt cover at the top - otherwise it'll catch the water bottle.

If you need any pics / advice etc. just email me.

Good luck,

Pete.

For a quick fix for the exhaust spacer, get an old frontpipe from a cinq/punto 110/1242 and chop off the flange, clean it up a bit and use longer studs and 2 gasgets, piccies on my web site
