i have a 51 reg seicento schumacher

yesterday my brake lights started staying on,

but the they only stay on when my side lights/main beam is on. if i turn them off the brake lights work as normal but my side lights come on as well.

could this be a earth problem and i cant find the earth point for the rear lights can any one help

Have you replaced any bulbs recently?

i changed 1 of the brake, tail light bulbs about a month back

That could be the problem, you could have put a single contact bulb in the place of a double contact bulb or vice versa, just check the bulb you replaced and make sure it's the right one.

Its the bulb thing. Either wrong bulb or right bulb in 90 degrees out.

mine done that and it was the little white switch on the foot pedal which engages the light was getting stuck, a little lube and a ok

Yup, thats a switch problem, but it wouldn't make the side lights come on too.
