to my old alloys, or at least 13's

couple of reasons...

acceleration.

handling.

my new ones are probably more suited for a kitted car, rather than the euro look i'm going for.

that and i just love the black sporting alloy, i've put some old red rim tape on one and it looks mint.

yay?

nay?

or sell and get some different ones.

i like you current wheels...but thats why im on 13's and not 14's,i noticed the difference in handling/accelleration.

Try and look for some mint 13"s(y)

Also where do you get rim tape from???

good old ebay, about £5, lol

if you look hard enough, there is one that does tape for size's 12" to 14", or something like that

only probablem there is, finding some nice "proper" euro style ones.

i'm seriously thinking of selling my new one, then looking for others. or, depending on how good it looks with the standards, stick with them for the time being, spend the proceeds on the interior and other mods, then keep an eye out for some nice ones

standards look good in black with the red (y)

What size are your current ones then, 15"? Didn't really notice much difference with 14" tbh, still handles and goes fine.

Kristian

current (new) ones are 14".

but then the do have a high profile on them. so the tyres probably effect the handling

i'm also on a standard state of tune too.

i have to say with my old 14's i felt no difference atall really, on 175/50s.. although my gfs standard yellow cinq could keep up with me on her std wheels, so im guessing it must make some difference! but 14s do look better imo as they fill the arches..

I run 14's with 185/50' Conti-sports and i think the handling is a lot better with them than the std wheels and tyres. also motorway cruising is more relaxed thanks to the larger rolling radius

If you like the look of the Std wheels try to find some 14" Tipo/Tempra alloys I kept mine silver but there are others who have done them in black and grey

well the work as begun on my standards. they painted now, looking much shinier. lol.

got the rim tape sat in front of me, gonna get that fitted to the wheels tomorrow, then fit to the car. (y)

my 14's are on ebay so gonna see how they go.
