can sum1 tell me wat is involved in converting a cinq sporting to a punto 1.2 mpi engine and what parts i will need for the conversion and would it be easyer to get a compleat punto 75 so i can use the ecu and stuff.

to do it properly (imo)

complete P75 engine. part of the p75 loom. Standalone ECU including a wideband lambda controller. Bugdet around £500 for buying the ECU, plus fitting.

Might as well go for a 16v with that work surely?

Easiest option by fa is a 1242 8v spi this can be done in a day easily

(in 2 you can do the engine swap old into another car and swap the interior ICE brakes suspension across as well )

Best to buy a donor car. You get all the stuff you need plus the vin and reg to order spares easily. The ecu can be unlocked so it can be used on any car.
