Just fitted yesterday, along with the 10k boost engine clean, and I cant praise it enough.

IMO, compared to my K&N, its gives a slightly better response when your in 3rd, 4th and 5th.

It doesnt seem to hold u back on cold starts either if you floor it, my only concern is, sometime if i floor it froma standing start, it doesnt do anything, as if the engine has flooded, its happened twice since ive had it and its a bit annoying

Its not as throaty as the K&N, but with my exhaust u cant really tell if the induction kit is making a noise cause the exhaust is just so damn loud.

The kit came with no instructions though, so i was lucky I have fitted one before, it also comes with an oil breather, that lets the engine fumes escape naturally and doesnt re-circulate them like the K&N, im glad really cause it used to clog it up .

Avoid BMC carbon filters, if u are expecting the full kit too be supplied, it isnt and u need to bodge something for it to make it fit to the top off the engine, I was really disappointed by this especially for £170. All u get is the carbonfilter and some ducting.

Stick too GSR, or make one yourself like Petes version, im thinking off doing the latter, when I get round too it

EDIT: Kit does not contain an ECOTEK type valve, I have edited the post to stop the confussion

Gaz and any other aftermarket performance air filter owners, try feeding your pipe over the top of the head to face the front of the filter or get another cold air feed and do both cos it helps greatly, my car now does top end in the flat as it use to two years ago and is better response wise too.

Filter is drawing heated air from a larger area and the cold air feed in the instructed location can't cancel the effect out, other option is to ove the filter away from the engine but this method is ideal if that isn't an option.

try it ands see

i did try that but im changing bumpers so i didnt make it permenant, but yes it does make it run better cause the air in direclty aimed at it, its acts like a ram induction kit just forced air all the time.

i will try it again once my bumper is on
