Tinted windows.... how do you prefer them? really dark? or just a nice subtle dark colour?

I have seen a tint that I want, where its like a blue tint... looks really clear. does anyone know what Im talking about?

What do you think ?

a medium smoke always looks cool imo. blue tint makes everything green when you get out lol :p

Blue tints are illegal

Ive had limo black - light smoke on my windows so theres my answer

i like dark smoke but some cars look better with a slightly lighter smoke IMO...limosuits a few cars but more often than not its associated with the spydey look as dpallot said!!

from all the cars i've seen/done.

the way forward is a light tint. looks sooo much more classy and not like a chavy van. and seeing as its illegal to tint the front doors, the lighter it is on the back, the more it goes with clear on the front.

so i'd say light smoke. i've got 50% light smoke on mine. about the lightest noticable tint going. anything lighter and you cant really tell. keep them subtle. which is what i was going to do with my cinq..... till i painted it, lol.

imo blue looks horrible!

go for a nice medium on the back 3 and the legal ones on the front , was it >5%? or has that changed now?

Think mines is 50 on back and a very very slight on front,

no, legal requirement is 70%. but even then, this is still imossible to acheive as the glass has a slight tint to begin with from the factory.

the full legal details are on my site...

i think i may have it the wrong way round, im thinking a 5% tint allowing 95% of light through, but technically thats called a 95%?? so does 70% mean allows 70% of light through??

yuuuup :)

personally i think it looks at its best when the rears are really dark and the fronts are that bit lighter because the fronts being extremely dark just looks nasty.

yeah it does look nice. but it wether you wnat to risk the police liking it is up to you. thats providing that you'll find a tinter that will do your fronts.

i've stopped doing front windows because i dont wanna risk prosicution.

yeah, the high the % the lighter the film. so the law for the fronts is 70% or higher/lighter.

i got pulled for my front ones and then when he asked me to rip them off i did then he fined me £30 they were only light smoke. im now doing the rear sides limo and the front wiondows dark smoke i figure if they are going to fine me they may aswell do it for a good reason. lol

just be carefull, the darker the fronts are, the more likely you are to get 3 points as well as a fine.

i think the tint on the rear here are realy nice. hope you dont mind me using your sig as an example.

changed my view on it all since cinq, am very much a no tints kinda guy now :)

But the cinq has limo on back 3 and medium smoke on the fronts, and if i'd have been keeping it i doubt i would have changed them :)

Any tint on the front is illegal....an d the police are no worries, compared to invalidating your insurance in a crash :p

Light or dark smoke rears and nowt up front it where I think it looks good :)

also depends on the car though...some look better without (y)
