With the 1242 now in the 899 and hopefully running around tomorrow/sat I better start looking at brake upgrades! I think I should go for 14s and the punto GT brakes, cos I got 13s on there now and don't know where to find UT brakes :( rare as rocking horse s**t i believe.

anyone recommend any decent 14s to go with  i'm thinking maybe sei abarth 14s rather than aftermarket, either that or maybe some alfa wheels or somethin, for that euro look :)

any ideas greatly appreciated, just looking for opinions really, check my sig for pics of the cinq (doesn't have the blue stripes any more!) and is getting an abarth rear apron and Ghostwkds old custom smoothed front bumper on it.

thanks

Lenny

Where you getting the rear apron from:cry:   ive been looking for ages:bang: :bang: :bang:

abarths on here or on ebay

I get the impression you just dont seem sure though so would just bob on google etc and have a nosey at some styles

Yea i'm not too sure thats why i thought i'd ask about on here.

I got the rear apron off a guy on ebay its actually a standard bumper with the abarth bumper spoiler smoothed in, looks good to me thou :) and wasn't gonna complain for £35!

i like the look of ronal turbos and old uno turbo wheels, but the old uno turbo rims are 13s i think :(

damm, ive been looking for a rear apron for AGES now, plan is to smooth into bumper, fill exhaust exit and make it like tricker's around my center exit exhaust

Wheels...i was just woundering as there kinda similar to the uno turbos style wise

hhmm i have a set of ronal turbos in my back garden, theyre 4x100 fitment. might get some wobblys and see what theyre like on the cinq.. good luck getting a set though, i know a few people who are selling them for £350/400+. And Ronal Turbos are 15x7 so might be too big to get on a cinq.
and you bastard getting that bumper, ive wanted a smoothed one for ages! and that cheap too (n)

I would deffo recommend the GT brakes over the UT setup i've had just the GT's on one cinq and GT fronts and UT rears on another as well as an UT with UT brakes...

Absolutely amazing in the dry could pretty much out brake must things I came up against... but just watch out in the wet

In summary GT for front and if you want a working handbrake UT rears (y)

Im only going for the UT's as ill be running 13"s... and 13"s only:slayer:
They've got good disc's and pads so should be alreet for me.

fair enough just that mine granted although on a 170bhp UT just never seemed any good even with brand new discs pads and oil... although sure others will say otherwise

But if you want some I have a set of brand new UT discs sat in my house gathering dust PM if you fancy them or add me on msngr :)

Yeah overkill :p unless your going gravel rallying seriously hope you get the bias setup right or you'll be doing donuts in the wet ;)

i think they compliment my GT front brakes fine tbh :p bias adjustment not needed

he's got my old UT front setup, with red dot 6 groove discs and ferrdod fsr2000 (or summit like) pads
