My cars wheels have gotten a tad noisy. It's not a grinding, and it's not hugely noticable. Just a sort of bearing noise like you get on a skateboard etc. A whirring sound, kind of (damnit it's so hard to describe a sound!).

They're original Sei Abarth 14" alloys. My dad reckons it's the bearings. Is this difficult or expensive to remedy? It sounds like something not out of reach of my modest mechanical skill, but what do I know?

I'm also concerned the offside front wheel may have been bent on a kerb collision long, long ago in my early driving days - does this sound related? And how can I tell?

Jack each corner of the car up, one at a time, and spin the appropriate wheel by hand. You will hear which bearing is grumbling.

Rears are easy to do, fronts slightly less so, they need pressed in.
