Styling how 2 remove the window??

Tailgate I assume...dont!!

Its stuck in with an adhesive (well the seal is) so unless yu know exactly the way to do it, yure running an amazingly high risk of killing the window on the way out or not being able to get it back in!

The side windows are held in with abt 8 bolts each (2\3 back) (2x3 at front)

mine was removed by theives in wales, they cut the seal all the way round, removed the window and left it propped up behind the car.. nice of them

garaged refitted it

Cinq Sporting - and yes, its broom yellow!

Absolute piece of p*ss , & should take no more than 60 seconds!
This job is a lot easier to do on a hot day, mainly because the heat softens the rubber & its much preferable to doing it in the p*ssing rain! Open the boot so that the tailgate is fully up, get a strong spatula of some sort (plastic is preferable & dont use a screwdriver, one slip & you can kiss goodbye to the glass). Carefully hook under the rubber in one of the corners whilst applying a firm but not forcefull pressure on the glass with your hand (remember your gloves and glasses just in case, Ive had glass splinters in the eye and my hands & they are bl**dy painfull). Whilst gently pushing the glass (use a cupped hand, rather than flat) follow the rubber and hook it over the lip of the bodywork.
When I worked at Autoglass we used to remove & refit the rears in around a minute and a half on a Cinq!
Just remember to take your time & work safefully, no car is worth damaging a limb or your sight for! Hope this helps. :D

This is just what I was looking for. I'd like to take the rear window out of Julio so I can respray the tailgate and tint the glass, but i was concerned that it was bonded. Am I right in reading this that the glass is held in by the rubber only, and so should be able to come out, get tinted, and be replaced without any of that hassle? It would be great if it could. It seems you're saying extract the glass from the outside of the tailgate, is that correct? Thanks for your info, it's a big help.

Usually fit the rubber to the window, run a piece of cord round the outer rubber lip. Offer the window up to the aperture with the cord ends inside the car. gently pull the rubber over the aperture lip by pulling the cord ends into the car.

When you remove the glass push it outwards from the inside of tailgate. The rear is held in with a rubber only & any sealant that comes with it isnt that important, its usually pumped round the seal just to be extra water tight. If memory serves me right, the Sei has a bonded front & rear glass so its best left to the pro's!
