Howdy-ho!

I'm considering painting the side-strip of the car as the original Fiat Blue-Yellow-Blue pixellated fade is looking rather tired and sun-bleached, and is a bit naff anyway.

I used MS Paint to simulate what other colours would look like. The top Left image you'll see is the car as it is now. My favourites are the dark blue, the muddy red/orange and the solid yellow. Opinions please!

And any suggestions on what type of paint and whether it's worth removing the strips (my instinct is to leave them and paint over, to keep the rubbing protection of the strip).

Cheers!

Im surprised, but i quite like the muddy red/orange as well. I think black is the only way forward if youve got black handels, but without them, looks a bit odd. And the yelloy makes the whole thing too yellow for me...

I've seen smoothed Seis with the black strip removed, however if you don't smooth it, something interesting happens. The recess for the strip its self becomes a detail. Here we see my car with the strip removed, black strip then orange and blue, by far the best options seems to black or body coloured.

It aint actually a strip, its a sticker, so it will have to be removed for painting, although you can get strips that replace the sticker i believe, so they could be an option for you.

The stickers are quite tricky to remove. You need plenty of patiance and a heat source, i used a hair dryer to great effect!

personally mate i would say black or body colour, nething else might look out of place but thats my opinion. why dont you get the rubbing strips off a new shape sei ? that should be a lot easier than worrying about paint!

go for the colour coded and if u have the time/money then get it smoothed off...
Just 1 thing 2 look out for when I tooke my stickers off I was left with a small whole on each side but have no idea what it is or was for...anyone any the wiser?!
