I have been speaking to Jordan about getting a set of caliper mounts made up for a rear disc conversion (Punto GT, et al - 240mm non vented discs)

It seems there is a lot of interest in them at the moment, so I thought I'd see how many people would want a pair?

The cost is tbc, but prob between £60-£70.

They will be CNC machined and can be painted in a range of colours.

There may be a lead time of a few weeks from placing the order, so if we can get a definitive list by 29/06/2007 and make the order, then hopefully they will be ready a few weeks later.

For now can you just post a new thread, copy and paste the list, specify your user name and how many sets you'd like.

I'll start :)

kritip - 1 set

If a mod could sticky this for a few weeks, that's be great (y)

Hope mark doesn't mind me using his pics, but thats what they look like (painted in grey)

Paypal is accepted of course and as Kristian says, any basic colour (i'm not paint code matching them :p ) can be had.

Thanks

Well, I have won the nearside caliper from eBay, £11 delivered. I have managed to source the offside caliper from a breakers that is reserved, and I'll collect, for £23.50. £34.50 for the pair...good or average?

If anyone else is thinking about it but unsure if they can source the calipers, check the classifieds, the is a PGT being broken, and the pair of calipers are avaliable.

Come on people, place your orders :D

I paied £40 for one set and £59 for another both delivered So I'd say you got a good deal there. Oddly when I enquirer about refurbishment I've been told the calipers changed type in '94. But wasn't that when the Punto was released?!

the UT (and other fiats) use the same caliper. the only difference between the UT and GT is the way it's mounted - thats why the GT has 240 discs and the UT 227

The 29th has arrived :D

Give it untill tonight (ie tomorrow) and then hopefully Jordan will give an idea of;

how we can pay
how much
choose our colours
and roughly when they will be ready

I'm fine for just plain back :)

I know Jordan has a PP address, so it may be easiest for everyone to just pay that way, I know that's how I'm doing it.

Hi guys

Sorry havn't replied sooner, been busy. Hopefully this hasn't wasted Kristians time with people saying they want a set then changing their mind (n)

So... Final price is £70 Delivered per set in any colour (for people buying two sets thats £135 as i'll post them together), I'm not taking silly little prices off for minus paint becasue people happen to have a can to spray theirs with, as the paint is free :p Ultimately you don't see any of the bracket when its all together anyway, but all the same during assembly its nice to see, and protects it from rust.

My Paypal address is:

[email protected]

please send a full deposit there and we'll get things moving from then on. Once all the deposits are in, then i can set the machine up for the amount of sets to make, as we'll know who's commited to buying a set. Once you've paid, reply in this thread so everyone else is aware whose paid and how close to being able to start we are.

Thanks

As T.E.D Jordan (name change confused me :p ) says, mention you've paid, but if you no longer want, also shout, else we'll all be waiting :p

As most will not have the splash/stone guard, I think we will need 1mm washers to space it out (not asking for you to supply ;) ) just so everyone is aware, else we could all be sitting there trying to figure it out.

Does everyone already have gooodridge rear hoses? If so how about a group buy with goodridge for some extension hoses?!
