How much gain in power would thease minor mods get me ?

-Back box
-Induction kit
-chipped ecu
-40mm throttle body
-renewed sparks and some decent ht leads

just a rough estimate realy.....


also does a certain throttle body (40mm) from a punto fit a cinq ??

or did i dream this ? lol

if so which model and engine ?

Tricker can widen the standard TB to 40mm - iirc the punto are all 32mm too. Keep seeing them in the classifieds so keep your eyes peeled.
The ECU will deffo give you the best improvement for the money IMO, i assume its a 1.1?
The TB is another good one, and adding an induction kit at the same time will help get the most from it.

High 60ish bhp? Maybe 70 if you're lucky.

A lot of mods really depend on how good the engine is to start with.
With all of the above, its hard to tell really, but i would guess between 5 to 10 bhp over standard.

Throttle bodies have been covered many times, but to save you hitting the search button just above your thread 32mm found on some Puntos, 36mm found on some Peugeots and Citroens (don't ask which ones. Does need a bit of fiddling about to fit), 38mm from Punto 75 (also needs fiddling about - search for info) and then Trikker can modify a stock one to 40mm.

So how much roughly with polished + knife edged 38mm TB, mcritch, de cat, frankenfilter induction, 75 cam, ported + matched manifolds and head, and head skimmed until limit markers no longer visible?

Are you really asking how much power you have got? Pure guess work might get you a close figure, but it would be that, just guessing. Best bet is to take it to a rolling road. You don't need a set up session, just a recording run, should only cost you about 30 or 40 quid.

the 36 mm pcg tb is what im using with the pcg fuel injector too.. rather than the standard one.. or well was until the cinq got smashed into...
dont expect major improvement straight away.. when doing the mods disconnect your battery so the ecu is reset.. and give the car say 100 miles ? to give the ecu a chance to learn the modifications
