Hi I would like to fit a lightened flywheel by -2kg on my mk1 punto 1l2 8V 60.
It's easier to find a 1L1 55 flywheel.
Does 1L1 55 flywheel and 1L2 60 flywheel are same?
then my moddz fitted are:
full supersprint exhaust system
stainless steel decat pipe
supersprint manifold
ported and gasflowed head
268° c&b camshaft
ported uno inlet manifold
40mm tb
homemade induction
mckrich chip
punto 75 fuel pump
kv85 magnecor
ngk irridium sparks

Does I need a fast road clutch?

Valeo clutches are rated to 75-80ftlb. Buy whatever you want.

Flywheels they are the same diameter but there are several stud patterns so you might need the dremel to slot them to fit, I did this and had no problems running wise, some may say to get it balanced again but as this is the centre of the flywheel I didnt see it to be prioity.

769 smallest
999 could be the same as 1.1/1.2 but cannot confirm
1.1, 1.2 8v - are the same as eachother
1.2 16v - the largest and if you think you need a better clutch it is cheaper to convert to this flywheel and valeo clutch as it is about 10mm larger in diameter from memory. (y)

oo i wont,i got me mini flywheel purfect when i did that one,

i just need to make a mandrel to balance it on,it now looks like yours used to,some small differances tho

is this the same size as the flywheel and clutch from the stilo 1368cc? thats what i'm gonna be using once this clutch burns out (if the car ever goes back on the road!)

ill get pics of my flywheel up soon, ive just finished lightening it.

it'll look like mine eh :p

The clutch on my Sei is a EBC Mk1 Punto sports clutch, it's the same part number for the 55 through 85 engines. It's designed to take about 90lbft and does but it'll not take much more than that :(.

The Cinq/Sei, Punto 1.1 8V, Punto 1.2 8v are all 180mm friction diameter

The Punto 1.2 16v, Bravo/a 1.2 16V etc are all 190mm friction diameter

I thought the Stilo 1.4 16V was the same, but looking at Foxyem's thread, it is 200mm according to them.

ok I will take fast road ebc or black diamond clutch.
I have a proposal for a lightened flywheel in ergal 2,5kg 360€.
But this car is my daily drive then my engine isn't balanced.
So I am always in the search of a lightened and balanced flywheel.

lol,i would be worried but unlike a mini, the flywheel is not inline with the driver so if it explodes im safe...well ish.still wouldn't want to be within 100yards of a flywheel exploding at 7500rpm. the car would probs be a write off:rolleyes:

anyway im looking forward to fitting it and giving it a good rev. still needs balancings tho
