General can lambda be cleaned?

I am sure I read somewhere that a Lambda can be cleaned, I have used the search but to no avail.

so, can it be done? even if its a temporary fix to get me to next week when I have the money to replace.

also, has anyone used the universal type, or any other off ebay etc that was brand new, but actually worked alright?

or... has anyone got a working spare I can buy, for £cheap!!

you can wipe them with a soft cloth

universal type have a few bad reports on here

lambdas had it here too mate, was going to buy one of those universal jobs. one look at it told me to keep clear of it. it's cheep $h!te !!

can they be cleaned [soaked] in anything? I am sure I read a message that said they can be soaked overnight in thinners?

my local factors sells them for £51

so if anyone got a spare, used, but working, PM me!!

dont bother buggerin around with them, theyre quite delicate.
best bet is fit a new 1 if in doubt. & agood 1 at that, not acheapo
1 as others have said all ready.

i got one from ebay, £25 ish delivered, brand new. the cable was 3 times as long as it needed to be. but not had a problem yet since fitting it. it runs like a dream now!

They can be cleaned. Soak them in lemon juice or brake disc cleaner overnight. Its a temporary solution tho.

A lambda sensor is a lambda sensor. Universal requires cutting of the wires to use the original lambda sensor connector. For the price difference on the cinq, its not worth it. I've had previous cars, where lambda sensors were £140. So universal was an option.
