Good call Blu, nice purchase mate :slayer:

Fuel pump swap is an easy enough job to do (after all me and Gaz managed to do it on Tango)....... just remember, no smoking while doing it :p

What plans have you got for it once its running the way you want it to?

So a wee update:
Got a fuel pressure regulator and pump off a coupe 20vt to go on the car.. Got a pic of how it all needs plumbing in (thanks Aaron), just need to get a bit of pipe and a few connectors looing at diagram. I'm just wondering what needs doing after its in really, obviously the regulator has to be set at a certain pressure but what pressure and is there anything else it will need after, will it need to go on RR to get it setup properly or not??

Erm lots of plans but i wanna reshell the car eventually, will end up pretty much as is though as i love the way it looks its just a bit rough really. But as with most things in my life it all depends on money or lack of it. Most important thing atm is to get it running sweet, and brakes are a bit dodge but pretty sure this is due to a tired master cylinder so shouldn't be too much hassle.

Set pressure on reg with vacuum hose OFF and engine on idle at 3bar, reattach the vacuum pipe and it should drop to roughly 2.5bar, and then increase to over 3 bar with +ve boost, that's how rising rate regulators work, my integrale and Ford Cosworths had a Bosch rising rate regulator fitted as standard.

It is also worth while checking the primary reg in the throttle body, small wax seal pick it out and there's a small Allen bolt, turn clockwise to increase pressure. This can't be done unless you have a pressure gauge, IIRC the reg you bought has it built in so not separate, but primary one set to 1.4bar to be on safe side this is just above the 0.8-1.2bar range it is as standard.
