i've had a look through the search results, and cant seem to find the answer to my question.

basiclly, both my hose's that are connected to the tb are serverly perished. and both weep slightly.

the thing thats puzzling me, is where they change from steel pipes, to rubber hoses. is it detachable at this point, or will i need to replace more than i anticipated?

only other option i can see, is cutting it back to where the hoese are good, then putting new hose in with a bit of a bridge pipe in the hose's. jubbileed on

thanks, in advance.

oh yeah, also, how do i stop it from squirting me in the face when i un-hook from the tb?

lol

I'm a dumb ass lol, wondered why people were talking about braiding!

I have a braided fuel hose on mine, 9mm ID.

Needless to say don't cap the fuel line lolol

no probs, lol.

have you cut the steel part of the pipe then? is it 9mm ID for both pipe and tb nipple? well, obviously, lol but you know what i mean

not sure.

mine is Sei mpi and there are diffrences tbh. I have a fuel feed from a plastic pipe that runs from the tank to the bay, then a plastic moulded line from there to the tb.

I ordered this which is a high pressure hose with a SS braiding slipped over. its actually 8mm ID, sorry for the wrong measurement.

I presume the older cinq/sei is the same size though (y)

Can you not just cut the hose from the pipe? I used a surgical scalpel, cut like butter through the hose and was obvious when you went down to the fuel pipe.

A sharp new stanley knife blade should do the same?! The end of my lines, after the hose has removed, had a raised lip to prevent the hose popping off, prob best to keep it :)

You may be talking about something entirely different though,in which case i apologise.

Cheers,

Kristian

on mine they have a sodding great crimp stuck on the end:confused:  no knife would cut through them (where the hoses connect to the metal pipes coming from the tank)

to clear up a bit of confusion,

here's my initial problem, and my resulting problem, to cure the initial, lol (made it confusing again, pmsl)

From the pics (certainly cleared thing up (y)) the actual line from/too the tank looks the same size, 8mm hose should do.

to remove it, rather than cut the pipe, i'd cut the craked fuel hose, plug the end (to stop crap falling in), angle grind or cut those crimp lenghtways so you can open it up with plires, and remove the hose. That way you get no junk in there, the full length of the fuel line, and possible the raise ends to help the new clamp stay on.
