Hi,l friend of mines clutch has gone in his Cinquecento, and he is strugling to get it out has anybody got any advice, he's been following a haynes manual and aparently he is stuck on the drive shafts if that makes sence, is there a simple set of instructions anybody knows about.

easiest way to detatch the drive shafts from the box is to remove the 2 bolts at the bottom of the suspension struts and manouver the hubs so that the shafts pull out. simple thing to do. Im not sure if this is how the haynes says to do it or not

Yeh there a bit of a pain in the backside, did mine last week. as bushboy said unto the 17mm nut at the bottom of the hub where the wishbone mounts. also theres a 3rd hidden bolt on the starter thats a pain to find and also a 19mm nut under the starter as theres a stud that goes threw the block from the gearbox (back of engine). when he gets to undoing the rear gearbox mount tell him to remove the 2 13mm's instead of the 1 17mm bolt as the nut for the bolt isnt held in place with anything and is a pain in the back side to reassemble.

Oh and dont forget to support the engine while the gearbox is off (good old bit of scaffold pole and a rachet strap should do )
