hi, I have a seicento sporting 1999 model, and recently the boot has stopped locking - usually after playing about with the lock a bit it will lock when i shut it, but today it has stoppped altogether, and so now when i try to shut the boot it just bangs against the lock rather than locking - the lock seems operational, i can make it lock onto a metal rod by pushing it against the latch, and unlock with the latch, but it will not lock onto the car GGGRRRR!!! I can't take the car out now and leave it as the boot refuses to lock! any help would be awesome thanks.

fixed it - hit the metal above the catch with a hammer.

That's called technical adjustment then.
