looking at how they're bulged onto my 6" wide wheels im not too sure i'd like 195's on anything thinner tbh

First off the Uniroyal Rain Sports are 'all year' tyres so have, as all year tyres, allegedly been designed to deal with wet weather and low temps as well as hot & dry conditions. As for Rain Sports v's Sports Contact I believe they use very similar compounds so it comes down to tread design.

195 on a 5.5" rim is going to put a lot of stress on the tyre shoulder and also the sidewall above the beading, this will only be exacerbated by a low profile sidewall. It also might end up causing tread doming as though the tyre is over pressure even though it's at the right pressure, which isn't good for tread wear or grip.

195's are really designed for a 6.5 inch rim. 6 is pushing it, wouldnt go any lower!
