Got a new (ebay) CV joint to replace my "knackered" one what had a split boot for many miles.

Got the new one (pattern) today and it's a tight as hell.

Seller says it's meant to be tight and it'll bed in.

I think my knackered one feels smoother.

How tight are they out of the packet?

Any thoughts?

Well, it's going on. Rather have a new one that'll "bed in" than an old one thats been run dry. . . .

How do you mean, tight??

The joint is stiff, the boot, fitting it together, or it doesn't turn freely once fitted?

Don't forget the new hub nub etc
