No it dries to hard and will crack and the mesh will fall off, use a silicone sort of bonding.

the best stuff to use it fibre glass P40 (i think), once its on it stays on

you can use "no more nails" supposed to be very good for meshing

i found proper silicone bond works but takes a while to set. proper stuff from motor factors though not bath sealent fron b&q.
anyway there isn't a b&q in england!

no nails sorta stuff, Stuck my picture rail up with that couple of months later some of it fell down and thats indoors without hot sun and frost. it sets too hard.

use proper bond that can hold a spoiler on a window no trouble. or like they say above one of them little fibre glass kits that come in a box.

the problem with using "no more nails" on walls is that it sticks to the paint, but the paint doesn't stick to the wall!
