There you have it folks, that's what I'm after.

Got a few quotes locally and I'd be looking at approx £50 a corner to have them professionally done.

So - who's done this sort of thing themself?

Easy?

Cost?

Wow that all over silver look beats the nasty black spokes! :D

Wooot! Just kiddin Ronnie! (y)

;)

looks great IMO(y) do it and be different

Lol ironically I wanna do it because I want them not to look different (although obviously different from standard abarth alloys), but because I desperately want the wolfrace street octanes - but for wolfrace to custom make me a set I've been quoted well over a thousand badgers!

Was thinking I could take them off one wheel at a time and run the spacesaver for a month - do one wheel a week?

Ideally I'd want to take the tires off though, and getting them done professionally would mean that they were a proper job, baked etc...

*sigh* just don't want to part with £200 for it though :p

Thats what the oven is for, just leave em in over night, obviousily one at a time. Unless your oven is huge

LMAO.... doubt if I'd get one in there never mind all 4 :p

Also, not too sure my Mrs would approve of me sticking car wheels in the oven

whos quoted you a thousand pounds? and what for?

for 15's in a 4x100 with 195/50/15 your looking 400 tops for street octanes.

yeah exactly - a fitment that wolfrace already make.... the most common infact...

the quote was from wolfrace direct - to have them made in a 14" 4x98 et36

just wobbly

could do, but then they would also need spacers, and unless I can find someone to supply tires in a 185/40/15 (which I don't think exist), then it's gonna throw my speedo out...

regardless of all this I do actually like my abarth alloys - just want them repainting really, and as cheaply as possible! lol

just do it yourself! so many people have done it, its so unbelievably easy!

I'm gonna give it a go - I mean the worst that can happen is that I balls it up and have to re-do them :p

A few weeks ago there was someone selling a single alloy on e-bay. That may be an option, so get a kerbed, scrapped one. Try ringing breakers yards, they may give you a really badly damaged one. Then practice on it. If you do a good job, then do your good 4, if not, nothing lost.
