Although I’ve been doing it by hand (no jokes please) for 30 years, my first DA has arrived! A TITAN TDA09 ordered last Friday night from Germany, and got here (UK) on Tuesday morning via DHL. It ticked a few boxes for me including the price of £109 delivered (£99 with code below)

*I used code XYZPOWER which gives £10 off any order over £79*

It’s got a small throw of 9mm, 5” plate, 6m cable, low noise and vibration, comes in a bag, a sturdy UK plug adapter with 3 pads and a Menzerna trio. I added the blue hex pads you can see to the order (only £5.99 each) as I have some Autobrite Direct Renew one step to have a go with first. Gotta get me a small dark bonnet to practice on now...can’t wait to see how it performs for a newbie ?

I contacted them before hand a few times and they were very quick in response and accommodating as it’s a family run business I guess? Anyway, thought I’d pass it on here.

read up and watch many videos first, its very easy to end up with no clear-coat and/or paint left on the car.

some people go to scrappy and get a practice panel first

Cheers, watched videos for about 8-9 months and getting a bonnet to practise on tomorrow hopefully. I thought it was extremely difficult to damage clear coat and burns with a DA as it orbits and spins rather than just spins like a 900w rotary?

I bought a DA a few years back and did my mothers car and the results were spectacular and easy to achieve.

One note of warning,. Mine stopped working abruptly and I was pretty annoyed as its out of warranty and used not a lot. Apparently the cabes are prone to faiure on this type of tool. Still sceptical I replaced the amins cable and am pleased to say it worked again immediately.

It puts a decent home paint job firmly in the DIY hands, and I am confident to get the finished job and standard I want.

I use 400, then 800 abrasive discs to flatten finished paintwork, then 2500 or 3000 grade sanding discs made of a fabric material followed by G3 or similar.

One of the best tools I have bought.

Plenty of good info on here..as always

I read all the relevant stuff when I bought mine

( still new in the box..after years..)

You should sell it. You would make a healthy profit!! Mine was a special offer at £74 its now a £180 tool, £99 for a new one today is very good value!
