Yeah, this has happened a couple times now. Adjusting the rearview a little before driving, and down it goes, right off it's little bracket, which thankfully stays perfectly attached to the windshield. Because the mirror is on a simply bracket and simply slides over it, putting it back up, is a simple thing I'm easily able to do myself while sitting in my car (500, sport.) Still, I'm concerned that it might wear something out over time. And also of coruse I wonder if a mirror should be coming off like that at all. Anyone else's ever done this? I think its got to do with stiffness, because there really isn't a lot of give when I go to make adjustments.

Hi. What comes off??

Mirror and stalk..ending with the ball..?

Or the ball with the SHOE that goes into the screen mount??

Possibly had a new screen..and the mirror mount has never latched into the 'SHOE'

if it comes off again I'll ty to get a picture of it before sliding it back in. That would more than likely give everyone a better idea of what I mean. But to explain the best I can, basically the mirror slides over a little foot type thing, which stays mounted to the window. All it's doing is sliding right off the silder, which is a flat piece. On the mirror side of things, there was two little divots which slide right over. Sorry. Its a very tricky thing to explain. When the mirror is off though, the ball is still attacked to it, and it can move around good as ever.
