Sorry if this is in the wrong place for this question. I have a 2012 500 Sport. Last few weeks I've had a little run of issues. For the longest time the TPMS has been erroring out. Then in the last 2 weeks the ESC and Hill Assist have been "Unavailable" and the Blue&Me as well as the Cruise Control on the front of the steering wheel stopped working. On top of it all, the left rear light assembly has stopped working. No stop lights or tail lights or reverse lights. While fixture seems dead. I've found some information on a grounding issue on the 2012s but don't know where that grounding wire is at. All fuses check out. Any ideas?

Thanks!

hi,:)

the most common system failing on the 500 seems to be damaged wiring around the hinging / pivoting area of the rear hatchback,

SEARCH for the thread "Maybelline - hissy fit" in 500 section,

other than that.. a battery MAY be failing..and knocking out voltage sensitive circuits.

personally I'd check the hatch wiring..then get codes read to see if there is a pattern to it all,

Thanks varesecrazy. That was my next step to check the wiring on the hatchback. And another problem I'm seeing is that the blower switch is messed up and it won't turn on the AC. Got to get the cover off that now to see what's causing this issue.

Ok. Wiring was good on the hatchback. Turned out I didn't push the plug on far enough to connect. All is good on the tail light side now. Still having issues with ESC, Hill Assist not being available and the front of the steering wheel not working. Trying to find a replacement blower motor switch now too and that's becoming tedious as well. O'Reilly's doesn't have them. Not any Fiat parts really from what I can see. ODB is not throwing any error codes at all. So the state of things now is: none of the buttons on the front of the steering wheel work, ESC and Hill Assist are "Unavailable", TPMS is available but throws pressure check messages on all 4 tires. Will be checking where that infamous ground wire connector is at next. Hopefully.
