Help

I had some burned out bulb indikation on the dashboard but they quick went away after they showed.
It had done that for a week and today i desided to remove the light glass in the rear and then see there are water in bottom of the glass and the 2 bottom bulbs circuit have "ir" ( the green/blue stuff that comes on batteries, connections and stuff) and the connection wire have some on them too. took a look on the side turn signal too it had water in it too and when i removed the glass there came a little water from the wires.
What can i do? i probally need new glass and new bulb holder and maybe new connections for the wires?
it would probally be insane expensive to go to a workshop to get it fixed

Hi Max1122, if the plastic cover is not broken or cracked it is likely that the gasket around it is faulty which would mean replacing. Before you start replacing stuff I suggest you give the whole lot a good clean with some fine wet/dry paper or a BRASS wire brush, then a small amount of WD 40. I tend to use a small amount of copper grease. If the unit is cracked you will need to replace.

While preventing the water from getting in is the first plan, a good secondary plan is to drill drain holes. If possible, 1-2mm diameter holes will allow the water to drain out, but need to be carefully planned so that no light escapes of the wrong colour, and the new hole does not allow more water in.
