got a "worn-through" leather Bertone Gear knob..

paper thin - I'd like to get another "sleeve" made , and just re-sleeve the original knob..as it's 29 Years old.

steering wheel rim,
presumably also original..?
scabby - unstitched AND worn..,

methinks either a proper leather workshop.., or another wheel,

anybody got recent'ish experience of getting custom alterations done..??,

Find a good classic car restoration workshop where you live, they can fix it for you, or know someone who can...!!
You'll be amazed about the outcome!
I've seen totaly written of leather turning into almost new....!!

There is a car restoration business in Faringdon, in the trading estate opposite my road. Not ever spoken to them, but might be worth a visit and conversation.
