I have few glue stains on carbon part of dashbord. Any idea how to get rid of them ?
Acetone didnt help :mad:

I was also thinking about carbon foils, but they wont stick on carbon :bang:

what car/ what part..??

is the carbon sealed..? the carbon I deal with isn't "porous?" so nothing penetrates it..,

try "nail polish remover".. or Industrial Alcohol they are quite different to Acetone;)
 
Fiat Bravo :) I tryed industrial alcohol, didnt help, only whitened the carbon

Carbon is not damaged, but i cant get the glue off. I am thinking about foils,but nothing (except superglue :D ) sticks to carbon
 
that's pretty bad..

I'm guessing whatever has marked it has damaged the top coat:eek:

Ok spoke to a composites expert.
that doesnt look like solid carbon..just a veneer.

Either way .. to remove the superglue

Use a BLUNT/ DULL coarse file. And carefully rub the glue away. Then polish the surface back with a polish. T-Cut. Or other particle loaded polish.

That is the method used in LEARJET..etc.

ILL post more spec on the files when Im at a PC
